1986

The certified public accounting firm of Hendrix & Esslinger was established by Randy Hendrix and Howard Esslinger and later became Hendrix & Associates. The outstanding reputation and success of the firm was built upon a dedication and practice of providing quality work.

2006

Tom Mitchell acquired the firm during the year the principals entered retirement. To ensure the continuity of client service, Randy Hendrix provided support through the first tax and audit season. 

2008

The firm successfully completed an independent review of its accounting and auditing practice, known as the Peer Review Process. The Peer Review was conducted by an independent CPA firm under standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which is the national professional organization of CPAs. The reviewers concluded that Thomas K. Mitchell, CPA is in compliance with the stringent quality control standards as promulgated and monitored by AICPA. The report was issued without a letter of comments which is the highest level of report a CPA firm can receive.

2011

An independent review of the firms accounting and auditing practice was again successfully completed. The Peer Review was conducted by an independent CPA firm under new standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which is the national professional organization of CPAs. The reviewers concluded that Thomas K. Mitchell, CPA is in compliance with the stringent quality control standards as promulgated and monitored by AICPA. The report was issued with the highest rating a CPA firm can receive.

2012

In order to allow convenient access for our clients, we relocated our office to 2600 Cordova St. The new location has an elevator and abundant parking available.



2014

An independent review of the firms accounting and auditing practice was again successfully completed. 2016

Our office admin. Michael retired in December. We greatly appreciate her 10 years with the firm. She will be dearly missed by our staff and clients but hope the very best for her in retirement.

2017
